Another stunning wedding gift I just have to share...
My gorgeous (and incredibly generous) family gave us this amazing paining by Betty Club Mbitjana as a wedding gift! It is called "Body Paint for Women's Ceremony" and it is just beautiful! Betty is from the Utopia region in the Northern Territory and she is continuing the tradition of painting the bush melon and body painting motifs used for traditional women's ceremonies.
The small circles in Betty's paintings represent the Bush Melon. The elongated u-shaped patterns with horizontal lines represent the designs painted on the breast and upper body used by women to decorate each other’s bodies for traditional ceremonies. The large concentric circles represent the place where the sacred women’s ceremonies would take place.
My family found this paining from The Artery (www.theartery.com.au), a contemporary aboriginal art gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
It is the most stunning piece and we just love it!!

Welll…this is one of the reasons I have not been blogging! I have been very busy moving house, organising our wedding and getting married! Chris and I got married on 13 March 2010 at Pearl Beach, NSW. It was the most magical day of my life! Here are a few photos. My third gorgeous bridesmaid is missing from these photos…because she took them! They are just divine! She has such a talent and I think should consider a career change!
I made berlinski clutch bags for me and my sisters for the day…see picture. I will post more detailed photos soon. My clutch was a silver base with an antique, hand woven, silver doilie as the feature. For my sisters I used the softest, most beautiful beige leather with a beige doilie as the feature. One of the doilies was my grandmother’s. My lovely nan was not well enough to be with us on the day…but she was with us in our thoughts.

Check it out! http://www.magnoliasquare.blogspot.com/
I can’t wait for Magnolia Square in November but the nerves have definitely kicked in after seeing the blog today! I am slowly realising exactly how much work I have to do before then and the weeks have just been whizzing by! It is just sewing…sewing…sewing for me at the moment! Exactly how I like it! I have recently started using leather in my work and am going to launch this new range at Magnolia Square. Here is a sneak peek of some new leather Berlinski clutches…
